MJF Details His Audition Experience and Adam Sandler’s Response

MJF, whose involvement in the film has been known since late 2024, shared insights into his casting process during an interview on SI Media with Jimmy Traina. He revealed that the opportunity came through representation by talent agencies Activists and CAA, emphasizing confidence in his own appeal and presence within the industry.

“It all starts by having ‘it,’ which is something that I have that almost nobody else in the industry has today,”

—MJF, Professional Wrestler and Actor

During his appearance on the podcast, MJF recounted that Adam Sandler directly reviewed his audition tape and responded with enthusiasm for his performance. This pivotal moment led to a change in the part for which MJF was being considered, ultimately landing him a more prominent role in the movie.

“This is a true story. I’m not fabricating anything or being hyperbolic. Adam Sandler himself saw my audition. He was apparently laughing like a hyena and then he said, ‘I want this guy to not audition for the other role I auditioned for originally, but I’d like him to audition for this role.’ I auditioned for that role and I got that role, which is a big role in the movie. I’m very excited for the movie to come out.”
