Becky Lynch’s Dream Car Repossessed After Owner’s Death in Shocking Used Car Saga

Published:

Becky Lynch, the Women’s Intercontinental Champion, has repeatedly encountered difficulties with used cars in the United States. During a recent appearance on the AreYouGarbage? Comedy Podcast, she recounted multiple unfortunate experiences with secondhand vehicles that have left her frustrated and wary of the process.

Describing her first car, Lynch said it was unreliable and unpleasant. She shared,

I was living in Orlando, couldn’t get around. I bought this little banger of a [car], it broke down as soon as I got off the lot. It smelled gross, it was disgusting, it was a death trap,

expressing her disappointment with the purchase. She added plainly,

It was an awful little piece of shit. I hated that car.

Her troubles didn’t end there. A friend and former NXT talent, Joe Cabray, gave her his car after he was fired, but that vehicle also failed her when it broke down en route to a dental appointment.

The Loss of Her Dream Car Following the Owner’s Death

Lynch’s most heartbreaking experience involved a Volkswagen Beetle she considered her dream car. She encountered it when a security guard at an event offered to sell it to her. Said Lynch,

I was at a show and there was this security guy. He was driving a Volkswagen Beetle. I was like, ‘That’s my dream car right there! That’s my dream car!’ He’s like, ‘Well, I’ll sell it to you.’ It was reasonable, [$8,000], but I couldn’t afford it,

at first.

She was eventually able to purchase the car from him in 2013 or 2014 with weekly payments because the seller still owed money on it. Lynch explained,

This was 2013, ’14 maybe. I bought it off of him, and he was so nice, he was letting me pay him weekly installments because he still owed money on it,

and continued,

But then I was able to pay it off, but then he died. He never paid it off, so then they repossessed it. So that was my car experience. It was terrible, he was such a lovely guy too. God Bless. But, that was my dream car.

Transition to Environmentally Friendly Transportation

After these difficult experiences with used cars, Becky Lynch has since switched to driving a Tesla, citing its environmental advantages as a primary reason for her choice. This change marks a significant shift in her approach to transportation after a series of setbacks.

Becky Lynch’s repeated issues highlight the complexities and risks involved in purchasing used cars in the United States, especially when dealing with installment payments linked to third-party owners. Her story illustrates how unforeseen circumstances, such as the death of a seller, can dramatically affect buyers. Lynch’s move toward an electric vehicle signals a desire for reliability and sustainability following years of disappointment. Fans and followers may watch closely to see if this transition brings her more peace of mind on the road.
