Charlotte Flair Praises Bianca Belair’s WWE Saudi Arabia Appearances

Published:

Charlotte Flair expressed admiration for Bianca Belair amid Belair‘s current WWE absence caused by a finger injury. The two were together in Las Vegas for WWE’s announcement that WrestleMania 43 will take place in Saudi Arabia, a location where Belair has made a significant impact through multiple appearances. The discussion highlighted Belair’s frequent participation in WWE events in the kingdom, emphasizing the growth in her career.

At a recent press conference, Bianca Belair revealed that she has competed in Saudi Arabia nine times since WWE formed its partnership with the country. This fact caught the attention of Shannon Sharpe during Flair’s guest spot on the Nightcap podcast with Chad Ochocinco. Flair was surprised by the number of times Belair had wrestled there, recognizing her steady rise from NXT to WWE’s main roster.

Flair praised Belair’s strong presence and success, viewing it as a kind of older-sister pride in Belair’s accomplishments.

“When I saw her sitting at the press conference, I had no idea she had wrestled in Saudi nine times. So when she came up to the main roster, when I thought about it, I was like, ‘Oh, she’s right.’ Like she’s been in almost every big show there. She’s the EST for a reason and she really is a role model inside and outside of the ring. I was like just proud sister sitting there watching her,”

Flair said.

While Belair has made multiple appearances in Saudi Arabia, Charlotte Flair herself has only wrestled there once. That match took place during the 2022 Elimination Chamber event, where Flair teamed up with Sonya Deville but lost to the duo of Ronda Rousey and Naomi in a tag team match. This contrast underlines Belair’s extensive experience in that region compared to Flair’s single outing.

Charlotte Flair Reflects on Overcoming Criticism

Charlotte Flair has long faced criticism, especially after her victory in the 2025 women’s Royal Rumble. Much of the negativity stems from opinions that her WWE push is due to her being Ric Flair’s daughter. Despite the backlash, Flair has grown more resilient over time.

During the Nightcap podcast, Flair discussed how she now handles criticism better than in her early career, acknowledging that negative voices contribute to her motivation.

“I’ve carved out my own path. But I still have that chip on my shoulder ‘cause it’s like no matter what you do, no matter how many firsts you’ve had or how many awards, accolades or best match of the night, it’s still like, ‘Oh, Ric Flair.’ But it’s okay, like you need haters in this world, right? If you don’t have haters, you got a problem,”

Flair explained.

Charlotte Flair continues to be a prominent figure in WWE, currently holding the Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Alexa Bliss. Their reign further solidifies Flair’s position in the company despite ongoing scrutiny.

These reflections on both Belair’s growing legacy in Saudi Arabia and Flair’s persistence amid criticism provide insight into their careers as WWE prepares to bring WrestleMania 43 to Saudi Arabia, signaling continued opportunities for both athletes on that global stage.
