Former WWE Star on Brock Lesnar Comparisons: “He’s His Own Beast”

Published:

Former WWE talent Parker Boudreaux, a rising figure in professional wrestling, has often been compared to Brock Lesnar throughout his career. At 27 years old, Boudreaux acknowledges the parallels drawn between himself and Lesnar, particularly due to their similar physique, but stresses his desire to build his own identity in the wrestling industry. These comparisons have followed him since his high school years, inspiring both admiration and a strong sense of individuality.

A Unique Path Through Wrestling Promotions and Mentorship

Boudreaux’s wrestling journey includes a notable stint in WWE’s NXT, where he performed under the ring name Harland. During this time, WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman identified him as the ‘Next Big Thing,’ highlighting his potential in the sport. Alongside WWE, Boudreaux gained experience wrestling in other major organizations like Major League Wrestling (MLW) and All Elite Wrestling (AEW), which has helped him shape his skills and presence in the ring.

Boudreaux’s Views on Being Compared to a Legendary Athlete

In an exclusive discussion with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Boudreaux expressed how being likened to Lesnar was a great honor but emphasized how distinct they are as competitors. He praised Lesnar as one of the greatest athletes across multiple sports, including WWE, NFL, and UFC, but made clear his intention to develop his own legacy rather than following in Lesnar’s footsteps exactly.

“When I was first getting compared to Brock, I was so young, and I was still in high school. To be compared to Brock at such a young age, and obviously, he’s probably the best athlete of all time, WWE, NFL, UFC, and the list goes on. But I feel like to this day, it’s been about 10-11 years of almost every single day somebody says I’m related to Brock, ‘Are you Brock Lesnar’s son?’ So it’s like 11 years, and I’m like, ‘I get it.’ I do get it because of the height and weight. I mean, we are very, very similar, but we’re also very different. He’s his own beast. He’s possibly the greatest athlete of all time, one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time. I don’t want to be the next Brock Lesnar. I want to be the one and only Parker Boudreaux. And that’s what I’ve been just really developing this character.”
