With WrestleMania just over two months away, former Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has expressed enthusiasm for a potential match between Bad Bunny and Logan Paul in Las Vegas this April. Although Rhodes is not officially in charge of matchmaking in WWE, he shared with TMZ Sports his desire to see this highly anticipated bout at WrestleMania 42.
Rhodes spoke from New York City about Bad Bunny’s possible return to WWE, emphasizing his hope that the music superstar will appear for the event.
Bad Bunny’s Recent Achievements and WWE History
Rhodes acknowledged Bad Bunny’s current global success, noting,
“I hope we get him back. He did a wonderful job, but he’s on top of the world right now.”
The Puerto Rican artist recently headlined the Super Bowl halftime show, drawing 128.2 million viewers, making it the fourth most watched halftime performance in NFL history.
Despite calling his own Super Bowl performance memorable, Rhodes ranked Prince’s iconic 2007 halftime show as his personal favorite. Bad Bunny is no stranger to wrestling fans, having competed in a San Juan Street Fight against Damian Priest in May 2023, held in his home country of Puerto Rico.
Logan Paul as the Ideal Opponent for Bad Bunny
When asked about a suitable opponent for Bad Bunny, Rhodes suggested Logan Paul, who has developed a credible WWE career since his debut in April 2021. Given that Bad Bunny has performances scheduled until March and a break following in May, there is a possibility he could carve out time for a WrestleMania return.
Such a showdown between Bad Bunny and Logan Paul would not only attract mainstream attention but also blend two entertainment worlds, making a compelling spectacle for WrestleMania attendees and viewers worldwide.
