Less than two days before AEW Dynamite airs, Tony Khan revealed a new tag team match set to take place, featuring Darby Allin teaming with Orange Cassidy against the duo known as the Dogs—Clark Connors and Gabe Kidd. This match further intensifies the existing rivalry within AEW’s tag team division.
Background of the Rivalry Among Competitors
The tension between these four wrestlers escalated from Gabe Kidd’s link to the Death Riders faction during their ongoing conflicts with Darby Allin. Last December at AEW Worlds End, Allin emerged victorious over Kidd, which initially seemed to conclude their feud. However, Clark Connors made a comeback in January, joining forces with Kidd, who is also affiliated with the Unbound Co. group from New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Orange Cassidy, another wrestler who has opposed the Death Riders, recently partnered with Tomohiro Ishii to secure a win against the Dogs during the February 18 episode of Collision, adding more fuel to this intense rivalry.

This tag team contest is one of the key matches confirmed for Dynamite, alongside the previously announced Jon Moxley versus Hechicero bout. The confirmed card also includes MJF defending the AEW World Heavyweight Championship against Kevin Knight and Thekla challenging Thunder Rosa for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
