Setbacks and Frustrations Within The Vendetta

The multiple-time World Champion reflected on her standing, admitting she wanted to remain in the title picture, yet felt her efforts were falling short. Her frustrations led her to take a step back, reassess her approach, and look for a well-timed opportunity to return stronger to AEW’s roster.

The Original Vision Versus Reality

Recounting the origins of The Vendetta, Purrazzo explained that the original concept involved her and Taya, with potential plans to expand the group further once their characters were established through ongoing storylines. However, the progression did not align with those plans.

“What the plans were in the beginning is not what unfolded and that’s totally okay. But then it became we’re not really doing much here. We can use this to kind of get the audience invested in us, and, honestly, who knows? The Vendetta is not over. I love that me and Taya as a group, I love the idea of it so much. I would love to see it come to fruition.”

Despite the changes, Purrazzo maintained hope, indicating her admiration for the partnership with Taya and her wish for the group’s concept to come to full realization in AEW. She pointed out that although the plans shifted, there remains potential for The Vendetta to evolve, especially if given the chance to further connect with the AEW audience.

The uncertainty surrounding the group’s future has left many fans and observers, including those closely following the AEW women’s division, eager for updates on Purrazzo and Taya’s next steps.
