During the latest episode of NXT, Ethan Page sought guidance from General Manager Ava about his upcoming opponent in the qualifying match for the six-man ladder match that will crown the new NXT Champion. Instead, Ava surprised Page by confirming that LeFleur would be his challenger for the North American title on the following Tuesday.

Elio LeFleur took to his Twitter (X) account to share his excitement about stepping into the NXT ring as a contender. He posted,

Background on LeFleur’s Path to WWE NXT
LeFleur signed a WWE contract after impressing during a tryout held in March 2025, with the official announcement coming in October of the same year. He made his in-ring debut for WWE during an NXT live event in November 2025 and has been consistently appearing in house shows since then.
Before fully immersing himself in WWE, LeFleur also competed in AAA’s Alianzas event on November 28, participating in a three-way match against Jack Cartwheel and Chris Carter to determine the top contender for the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship.
Most recently, he faced Ethan Page in a non-televised house show in Davenport, Florida, last Friday, where the North American Championship was also on the line.
