Former WWE NXT Star Reveals Shockingly Low Salary Details

Published:

Jazmyn Nyx, known outside the ring as Jade Gentile, has announced her exit from WWE, influenced largely by the financial terms of a contract offer she found unsatisfactory. Her choice to leave the NXT brand highlights concerns about WWE NXT wrestler salary and the compensation wrestlers receive behind the scenes.

Nyx Confirms Departure and Rejects WWE Contract Offer

On Wednesday, PWInsider Elite shared news that Jazmyn Nyx would not renew her WWE contract once it expires. Nyx personally verified this decision, revealing that she declined a new contract proposal from WWE. Addressing her followers on Instagram, she clarified her position:

As you know, there’s been things circulating and I kinda just want to set the record straight, that I am not re-signing with WWE,

Nyx said on her Instagram account.

This was a personal decision I had to make for myself and for my future. Personally, the contract that they were offering me for the next three years just wasn’t going to cut it for me financially and that’s ok.

Clarifying the Reality of Wrestling Pay on NXT

After receiving fan speculation about her salary, Nyx responded to comments that presumed her annual WWE NXT wrestler salary to be between $80,000 and $150,000. Her reply, however, suggested a much lower income than many assumed.

They get $80-$150k how is that not cutting it financially?!,

user archouletta20_ questioned on her Instagram post.

If I was making that that would of [sic] been great!,

Nyx replied, implying her actual earnings were below the widely guessed figure.

Though Nyx chose not to disclose her exact pay, this exchange provides insight into the financial challenges faced by wrestlers signed to NXT. This revelation shines a light on issues related to compensation that often remain unspoken in the wrestling industry.

The departure of Jazmyn Nyx under these financial circumstances may encourage further discussions about wrestler pay standards and contract fairness within WWE and other wrestling organizations. As fans and insiders await more information, the situation underscores the complexities wrestlers navigate between passion and livelihood.
