Jakara Jackson Considering TNA Move After WWE Release: “I Definitely Have My Eyes on TNA”

Published:

Jakara Jackson considering TNA move after WWE release has become a topic of major discussion, following her departure from WWE on May 2 after a four-year tenure. In a recent interview, Jackson—now wrestling as Mara Sadè—shared her strong interest in joining TNA Wrestling and outlined exciting new plans for her professional journey.

Reflecting on WWE and Early TNA Experiences

Jackson, formerly known for her appearances in WWE’s NXT, has already competed on TNA’s stage three times, including a memorable four-way match for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Titles at TNA Rebellion. Alongside Lash Legend, she took on the TNA Knockouts division as part of a WWE and TNA crossover event, gaining a new perspective on the wrestling industry.

“It was cool. All I knew was the [WWE] PC life. I did not come from the indies beforehand, so to be going there and just to see a different side of wrestling, it was awesome and it was cool,”

During this stint, Jackson appreciated the creative freedoms granted by TNA’s environment compared to WWE’s more structured format, saying,

“I appreciated the freedom, I loved the creativity we could put into it. That’s fun to me. That makes wrestling fun. Not to say I was having fun in WWE, but it’s just so much more hands-on. I love that and I need that. I feel like that’s where I’m going to thrive. So that’s one of the things about this new chapter I’m super excited about is the freedom to do whatever.”

A Future With TNA on the Horizon

During her conversation with Ella Jay of WrestleZone, Jackson was open about her desire to return to TNA as a free agent. She hinted that interest between her and TNA is mutual and that discussions have already taken place.

“Most certainly [I’m interested in going back to TNA]. I don’t want to put too much out there, but they’re most certainly a lot of things in the works,”

She expanded on her ambitions, indicating her eyes are not only on TNA but also on opportunities abroad.

“I don’t want to reveal until it’s time to, but I definitely have my eyes on TNA. I would love to go to Japan. Definitely wherever I can thrive, that’s where I want to be.”

Pursuing New Challenges and Dream Opponents

When discussing her vision for future matches, Jackson named a diverse list of wrestlers across various promotions whom she hopes to face. The list includes AEW/ROH standout Athena, Willow Nightingale, former NXT colleague Indi Hartwell, as well as Elayna Black and Maya World.

“There’s so many. Athena would be amazing to go up against. She’s a beast. Willow [Nightingale] would be so fun. Indi [Hartwell]. Elayna Black. Maya World, I’d love to. Those are just a few for sure that I’d love to get in the ring with.”

Expanding Beyond Wrestling

Now identifying as Mara Sadè, Jackson is also eager to use her platform for broader personal and social ambitions. She emphasized her advocacy for causes that matter to her and her passion for entrepreneurship.

“I want to be a voice. People don’t know this about me, but I really am a very big advocate for domestic violence. I want to do charity and help with that,”

With enthusiasm for her new chapter, she added,

“I want to start my own business. There’s so many things that I want to dabble in that I’m so excited for this chapter because like I said, the sky’s the limit at this point.”
