Kazuchika Okada Reportedly Lost Bag with AEW Title Inside

Kazuchika Okada did not carry the AEW International Championship belt to his match against Adam Priest at this past weekend’s AEW Collision. According to reports, this was because the bag containing the title was lost prior to the event. The match was set up on ROH on HonorClub and took place Saturday night.

Before entering the ring, Rocky Romero advised Okada not to remove the championship from the bag, saying Priest was not worthy of seeing the belt. This unusual circumstance resulted in the physical title being absent from the match despite it being for the International Championship.

Details on the Lost Bag and Match Outcome

Fightful Select revealed that the lost bag contained both Okada’s ring gear and the AEW International Title. At this time, there has been no confirmation about whether the bag or the championship has been recovered.

During a match lasting just over ten minutes, Okada defeated Priest by executing his signature move, the Rainmaker, successfully retaining the title without having it physically present.

Okada’s Ongoing Reign and Title History

Okada’s current reign with the AEW International Championship has lasted 205 days, making it the second-longest reign after Orange Cassidy’s 326-day tenure. Okada won the championship from Kenny Omega at AEW All In: Texas in July during a Winner Takes All match, which also involved the AEW Continental Championship. Since then, Okada has lost the Continental Championship to Jon Moxley but continues to defend the International Title.
