AEW wrestler Kyle Fletcher has openly reacted to WWE’s strategy of scheduling Wrestlepalooza during the same weekend as AEW’s All Out pay-per-view event. Speaking on Good Karma Wrestling, Fletcher addressed WWE’s attempt to directly compete with AEW and how this rivalry motivates him ahead of a major career-defining match.
Fletcher Embraces the Competitive Challenge
Kyle Fletcher acknowledged WWE’s efforts to overshadow AEW by calling it a sound business tactic but asserted that it only fuels his determination.
“Man, I think it’s good business practice from the other team. I think they’re trying to squash us,”
Fletcher admitted.
“But, for me, it puts a chip on my shoulder. I know that this Saturday, we have competition and my goal is to go out there and have one of the greatest professional wrestling matches of all time, so that people go, ‘oh, nothing comes even close to that, nothing comes close to AEW pay-per-views.’”
He further emphasized how the rivalry pushes him to perform at his absolute best.
“It lights a fire under me. All I wanna do is go out there and do the best that I absolutely can so I can squish the other guys, you know what I mean?”
Fletcher added.
Upcoming Championship Bout Against Adam Page
On Saturday at All Out, Kyle Fletcher will challenge Adam Page for the AEW World Championship, an anticipated highlight of the evening. This match has drawn significant attention as one likely to stand out in a competitive event weekend marked by WWE’s contrasting show Wrestlepalooza.
Rivalry’s Impact on Wrestling Landscape
This high-profile feud between AEW and WWE not only raises stakes for individual competitors like Kyle Fletcher and Adam Page but also underscores the broader battle between the two promotions. WWE’s counter-programming serves as a direct challenge, but for Fletcher and others, it also represents an opportunity to prove AEW’s dominance in the wrestling world.
