AEW star Queen Aminata has offered an update regarding her return to professional wrestling following a neck injury that sidelined her for several months. She shared hopeful details about rejoining AEW television by late February, specifically targeting the February 25 show in Denver, Colorado.
Medical Evaluation and Recovery Progress
In a recent vlog, Aminata explained that she underwent an MRI which showed improvement, though not a complete recovery. She revealed,
“I was supposed to fly on Tuesday to go to TV in LA to get my neck checked because I did my MRI, and everything is looking good, not great, good. I hope to be back pretty soon. Doc changed my schedule, and I won’t be back at TV until the 25th in Denver. Hopefully, everything looks good so I can get back in the ring and start rolling around, taking that first bump, which is very scary.”
Her delayed return reflects the cautious approach taken by medical professionals to ensure her neck is fully healed before resuming in-ring activity.
Background on Recent Absence
Queen Aminata last competed alongside Jamie Hayter during the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Title Tournament Quarterfinal in October 2025. Their opponents were The Sisters of Sin, consisting of Julia Hart and Skye Blue. Soon after this match, Aminata was removed from the women’s Blood & Guts match due to ongoing neck tightness, preventing medical clearance for further competition.
Upcoming Return and Potential Impact
While the exact date of Aminata’s first match back is yet to be announced, fans can expect her to appear on AEW’s Dynamite or Collision episodes airing on February 25 in Denver. This return will mark an important step in her wrestling career and resume her progression in AEW’s women’s division, potentially influencing tag team storylines and future title contention.
