Since then, Keys has competed exclusively in dark matches and has yet to make a televised wrestling appearance, aside from video clips showing his interview with WWE executive Stephanie McMahon.

According to BodySlam.net, WWE is currently using dark matches to allow Royce Keys to gain more in-ring experience while finalizing his creative role within the company. Additionally, WWE has filmed vignettes featuring Keys, which are expected to debut on television soon. Reports indicate that SmackDown is the most probable show for his official introduction.
Behind-the-Scenes Adjustment Period for New Talent
PWInsider.com shared insights from sources familiar with WWE’s processes, explaining that Royce Keys is undergoing a standard acclimation phase to learn how WWE’s production operates. One insider emphasized that not appearing on TV immediately is a routine part of preparing newly signed wrestlers, noting,
“99% of talents who are hired go through that process.”
Keys’ delayed television debut should thus be seen as the company preparing him thoroughly for the future.
