Solo Sikoa Reveals The Bloodline Storyline Is Just Getting Started—Still in the Third Inning

Published:

Solo Sikoa believes the Solo Sikoa Bloodline Storyline is far from over, insisting it has only just begun. Speaking during WWE SummerSlam weekend, Sikoa explained how being part of the Bloodline faction has allowed him to grow as a performer by learning from Roman Reigns and his brothers, Jimmy and Jey Uso.

In an interview with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard, Solo emphasized how he quietly absorbed lessons from his family in the group. Rather than appearing disengaged, Sikoa said he was carefully listening and preparing himself for his moment to shine within the storyline.

I think just being able to sit under the learning tree of Roman and my brothers. A lot of people thought I was just standing there, like not listening,

Solo said.

Little did they know, I’m over there listening [and taking it all in]. So when it became my time to take the ball and run with it, I started my own Bloodline and it took off. So everything that I learned from my brothers and Roman, I’ve used my training from them to take me to that next level. I think that is one of the most positive things [I took from it].

Maintaining Momentum: How The Bloodline Can Stay Engaging

Faction dynamics in professional wrestling often face challenges in keeping storylines compelling over time, with some stables eventually losing fan interest. Solo Sikoa is aware of past examples, such as WCW’s nWo splinters, that became repetitive. He shared his thoughts on how to keep the Bloodline saga intriguing and fresh for the audience.

I think it’s just keep the fans guessing,

Solo remarked.

Everybody thought the Bloodline story was done. Me and Roman fought [and they thought it was done], but we were just getting started. I’m not even done yet, I’m not close to being done.

Paul Heyman’s “Third Inning” Analogy Still Resonates

Solo referred to Paul Heyman’s well-known statement during WWE SummerSlam 2023 that the Bloodline narrative was only in its “third inning.” Heyman suggested this metaphor to highlight the vast potential for further development within the storyline after Roman Reigns defeated Jey Uso two years ago. Despite Heyman later admitting to criticism over the phrasing, Solo finds the analogy fitting and continues to use it to describe where the story currently stands.

I don’t know if anyone remembers Paul Heyman saying it’s [still] the third inning. It’s the third inning,

Solo said.

I mean, to me it is. There’s still plenty more to come. I still think that means for both sides too, with [Heyman] and Roman and what they got going on, and us too. For Paul to say that, he’s not even here and we’re not on the same team, but it’s the third inning. We’re just getting started.

Solo Sikoa Focuses on His Own Story Amidst Outside Conflicts

When questioned about the ongoing tensions involving Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Paul Heyman, Solo Sikoa chose to distance himself from the drama. He emphasized his commitment to the Bloodline’s family storyline rather than engaging in external rivalries.

I’ve got my own family business going on.
