WrestleMania 42 marks the second consecutive year the show returns to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, reinforcing the city’s growing importance in WWE’s event calendar.
Memories of Stratton’s First WrestleMania Experience
Stratton recalled that her initial WrestleMania experience took place last year in Las Vegas. She expressed how nervous she was but found comfort in the city’s unique vibe.
Last year was actually my first WrestleMania ever. I was super nervous. It was in Las Vegas, so I felt like it was the perfect state for my first ever WrestleMania. I feel like Las Vegas is iconic. It’s the sports entertainment (capital) of the world, so it was the perfect place to host WrestleMania.

From Gymnastics to Wrestling: Stratton’s Athletic Journey
Growing up in Prior Lake, Minnesota, Stratton pursued gymnastics with aspirations toward the USA Olympic team, until injuries derailed those plans. Nevertheless, she credits gymnastics with preparing her for the pressures of live wrestling performances.
I feel like because of gymnastics, I work really well under pressure because in gymnastics you only have one chance to do your routine flawlessly. So that kind of carried over to wrestling, with it being live and stuff like that.

How Family Encouragement Led Stratton to WWE
After her gymnastics career ended, Stratton hesitated about wrestling until her mother encouraged her to consider the sport. Watching SmackDown together sparked her interest in training professionally.
I saw wrestling on Instagram and my mom and I too were scrolling through the channels and SmackDown was on and my mom had mentioned that’s totally something I can see you doing and I was like ‘Yeah whatever mom, it’s fine.’ And then eventually I was like you know what? I’m going to give it a go.

Training and Signing with WWE
Stratton enrolled in Ken Anderson’s The Academy: School of Professional Wrestling in Minnesota, where she developed her skills. Her mother later connected her with AWA legend Greg Gagne, who agreed to mentor her and helped secure a WWE tryout during SummerSlam week in 2021.
He agreed to train me and helped me get a tryout, and then I tried out and they signed me a week later and I went through the whole system,
she shared about Gagne’s involvement.
