Tiffany Stratton recently appeared on the No Contest Wrestling podcast to share her thoughts on her current WWE journey and how she has felt “kind of stale” in her performance lately. Reflecting on her time in WWE NXT, Stratton expressed a desire to recapture the energy and attitude she had as a heel, which she misses deeply. The conversation revealed her eagerness to evolve her character by embracing a more villainous role once again in upcoming storylines.
Desire to Revive Heel Persona From NXT Days
Stratton emphasized how much she valued being a heel while wrestling in WWE NXT, explaining that it allowed her to “be free” and fully express her character. At present, she performs as a babyface but noted that this limits her ability to fully embody “Tiffy.” She stated,
“I do miss how my character was down in NXT. I do miss being a heel. I love being a heel and wrestling as the heel. It’s like right now I wrestle as a baby face. I love to just be free. Like as a heel, I feel more like I can be free and just kind of be like full Tiffy. Whereas like kind of right now I reel it back just cause- so I do miss wrestling as a heel doing backstages and promos as a heel. So I would say like, that’s the biggest thing that I missed on an NXT.”

Plans to Inject New Energy Into Her WWE Character
Addressing how she has been experiencing a creative lull following her title win, Stratton shared her intention to reinvest in her persona by playing up her heel attributes even more. She said,
“That’s a really good question. I’m kind of just like, me, and I do want to start – I feel like for the longest – for the past year, I was kind of stale. Like, I felt like, you know, there wasn’t any crazy storylines after I won the title, and I kind of want to bring back some spunk. So we’re going to be even more heelish Tiffany. We’re going to play around with some things. So I’m excited for that. But, yeah, I’m not really sure why the crowd cheers me as a heelish kind of vibe.”

Staying Engaged and Learning During Time Off
Even while sidelined, Stratton has remained proactive in refining her craft by consuming wrestling content and gathering ideas from social media. She described her process, saying,
“Yeah, so I’m always finding stuff on Instagram, on TikTok. There’s a couple of wrestling accounts that I follow that I try and screen record for ideas later on, and then I am always watching SmackDown and Raw, even when I’m out. I’m always trying to keep up. I was watching all the PLEs, the Saturday Night Main Events, just to keep up with the current storylines and what all the girls and guys are doing.”

The Significance of Reclaiming a Heel Role in WWE NXT
Tiffany Stratton’s openness about her desire to return to a heel character highlights the challenges performers face in maintaining engaging and dynamic personas within WWE’s evolving storytelling landscape. Her willingness to adapt and bring back her former heel edge could fuel fresh narratives on WWE programming. Given the crowded WWE roster, a renewed heel Tiffany might resonate strongly with audiences craving more complex characters. As Stratton evolves her approach, fans and industry watchers will be eager to see how her renewed villainous role impacts her trajectory within WWE NXT and beyond.
