Bryan Danielson recently shared insights about Tony Khan‘s management of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as the company continues to develop. His comments came amid AEW’s plans to return to Australia next year for the Grand Slam event in Sydney and a televised show in Brisbane in February, highlighting the promotion’s expanding international reach.
During an interview on the Kairouz Bros channel, Danielson was asked about Khan’s effectiveness as AEW’s CEO and how his leadership approach has changed over time. Known for maintaining a close working relationship with Khan, Danielson has been recognized as a trusted figure within the organization, with Khan previously stating that Danielson could take over AEW if necessary.
Insights into Khan’s Leadership Evolution
Reflecting on Khan’s leadership style, Danielson noted that the company’s CEO has experimented with different approaches to involving others in decision-making.
“I haven’t been there the whole time obviously, but during the time that I’ve been here, he’s gone through phases where… letting people in, and then sometimes realizing that he’s letting too many people in. In the sense of the decision making and that sort of thing,”
Danielson explained, underscoring Khan’s attempts to balance collaboration with streamlined control.
Danielson also emphasized Khan’s respect for the perspectives of talent, which has made working with him positive.
“But he’s always been great to work with, and one of the things that I like is he really respects talents’ point of view on things.”
He further added,
He’s a great boss to work for.
