Khan’s Longstanding Support for Mistico

Khan explained his fondness for Mistico dates back to his college days, when he was writing an e-fed version of Dynamite online and would include Mistico as a booked talent. Since then, Khan has had the opportunity to work alongside Mistico officially on AEW programming, orchestrating a feud between Mistico and MJF that has unfolded in the United States and Mexico.

Zack Sabre Jr.’s Role at Upcoming AEW & NJPW Event

Beyond naming Zack Sabre Jr. as one of his favorite wrestlers outside AEW, Khan also hailed him as among the best technical wrestlers of all time. Sabre, currently the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, is scheduled to defend his title at the AEW & NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view in London later this month. His challenger will be determined among Daniel Garcia, Nigel McGuinness, Lee Moriarty, or Hechicero.

Stardom’s Upcoming Representation at Forbidden Door

Additionally, Stardom will have a competitor participating in a four-way match for the TBS Championship at Forbidden Door. The identity of this representative has yet to be revealed, but their presence underlines AEW’s ongoing partnerships and cross-promotional events that excite wrestling fans globally.

Looking Ahead for AEW and Partner Promotions

Tony Khan’s openness about his favorite non-AEW wrestlers highlights the strong connections and mutual respect between AEW and allied wrestling promotions like NJPW, Stardom, and CMLL. The upcoming Forbidden Door event in London promises high-stakes matches featuring some of the best talents from these organizations, advancing the global appeal of professional wrestling and delivering compelling storylines for audiences worldwide.
