Tony Khan, the owner of All Elite Wrestling (AEW), has confirmed that his other wrestling promotion, Ring of Honor (ROH), will now be based in Jacksonville, Florida. This decision comes as ROH events will be taped at the same location as AEW’s headquarters moving forward, strengthening the connection between the two brands.
Khan, originally from Illinois and known for his dual role as sports executive and wrestling booker, purchased ROH in March 2022. Since acquiring the company, he has maintained ROH as a distinct brand with its own roster, while frequently featuring AEW talent in crossover appearances. Typically, ROH tapings occur before or after AEW’s weekly shows, Dynamite and Collision, and air on the HonorClub streaming service every Thursday.
On the most recent ROH tapings held at WJCT Studios in Jacksonville, Tony Khan officially announced that Jacksonville would serve as the permanent home for the promotion. Additionally, he confirmed that further ROH tapings are scheduled at the same venue on March 22. It is still unclear, however, whether this move brings ROH any closer to securing a new television contract, a topic that has generated speculation for some time.
Upcoming AEW Dynamite Cards and Revolutions
In the coming weeks, AEW will hold its annual pay-per-view event, Revolution, following a Dynamite edition set for this Wednesday at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas. The card for Dynamite currently features three announced matches, including two high-profile title defenses.
Men’s World Champion MJF is set to defend his “Triple B” title against Kevin Knight, while newly crowned Women’s World Champion Thekla will face challenger Thunder Rosa. The show will also mark the in-ring television debut of The IInspiration, a former WWE and TNA tag team, who will compete against Jamia Hayter and Alex Windsor, collectively known as The Brawling Birds.
The full lineup remains under wraps, and it is uncertain what additional surprises Tony Khan and his creative team have prepared for viewers this Wednesday.
