World Wrestling Entertainment may soon expand its annual lineup by introducing Two WrestleManias every year, according to recent reports from Wrestling Observer Radio. Industry insiders suggest that Saudi Arabia is being considered as the host location for a possible second WrestleMania event in the coming years.
This idea follows consistent interest from Saudi officials to bring a major WWE spectacle to the Middle East, with past reports from Fightful Select noting that Saudi Arabia has been eager to land a WrestleMania. A seasoned WWE employee even described the possibility of a ‘Super WrestleMania’ taking place at some point, showing that this ambition is not new within internal discussions.
Dave Meltzer, speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, outlined the evolving scenario around WWE’s expansion plans. He mentioned that Saudi Arabia is set to host a major premium live event (PLE)—the Royal Rumble—in 2026, which marks a significant milestone since it will be the first time the event is staged outside North America. Meltzer noted,
“They got the Royal Rumble there next year. They got a quote ‘WrestleMania’ coming. It may be.”
Elaborating further, Meltzer hinted at the decision WWE faces regarding the annual marquee event. He stated,
“There could be. Okay? It’s the decision they have to make. You know what I mean? It’s like, if they do that—if they can do two WrestleManias in a year, two shows called WrestleMania in a year—actually, it’d be three because there’s gonna be two nights [of WrestleMania]. And then they could—maybe they’ll do two nights in Saudi Arabia too.” —Dave Meltzer, Wrestling Observer Radio
The move to Saudi Arabia for one of WWE’s flagship shows would follow the 2018 Greatest Royal Rumble in the kingdom, where Braun Strowman triumphed in a massive 50-man match. That show set a precedent, even though it did not become part of traditional Royal Rumble records. However, the upcoming Royal Rumble in Riyadh will enter official event history, signaling a shift in how WWE positions global events and expanding the brand’s reach well beyond North American audiences.
The announcement about Royal Rumble 2026 found mixed reactions, especially on social platforms, as fans reflected both anticipation and unease about holding such a significant event in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, the possibility of Two WrestleManias every year raises questions about the future direction of WWE’s signature calendar and whether new markets like Riyadh will become permanent fixtures for the promotion’s biggest events. As WWE navigates these strategic choices, only time will reveal if the company will formalize an annual second WrestleMania and what impact this might have for fans and wrestlers worldwide.
