Vanity Project Signs with NXT and Sets Sights on Ladder Match
Backstage, Vanity Project—comprising Ricky Smokes, Brad Baylor, and Jackson Drake—confirmed they have signed contracts with NXT. Jackson Drake, who holds the EVOLVE Championship, expressed his desire to participate in the qualifying matches leading to the ladder match set for February 3, which will determine the next NXT Champion.
Notably, wrestling journalist Bryan Alvarez recently revealed that the members of Vanity Project are signed under WWE ID contracts rather than TKO deals, marking a unique status within the company’s contractual framework.
Eli Knight Joins NXT After EVOLVE and Television Appearances
Social media updates confirmed Eli Knight’s promotion to NXT. Knight has a background competing in EVOLVE and recently appeared on NXT television, where he was defeated by Tavion Heights in a qualifying match for the men’s Speed Championship. His inclusion further strengthens the depth and competitive spirit of the new roster.
