WrestleMania 42 Rumored for Two Countries: Could WWE Make History With Dual Locations?

Published:

The future of WrestleMania 42 remains uncertain as WWE recently decided against holding the event in New Orleans, sparking discussions about new locations for the company’s signature spectacle. Speculation has intensified regarding WrestleMania 42 possible two-country locations, following ideas shared by former WCW President Eric Bischoff on his latest podcast.

WrestleMania 42’s Location Change and New Venue Possibilities

Originally, WrestleMania 42 was scheduled for April 11-12, 2026, at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. With those plans scrapped, rumors have suggested the event might return to Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium for a second year in a row. There is also talk of London and Saudi Arabia as strong contenders for hosting future editions of the Show of Shows. This marks a significant moment for WWE, with fans and insiders alike considering where the company may take its flagship event next.

Eric Bischoff Suggests Dual Locations for WrestleMania Nights

On his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff floated a unique concept: splitting WrestleMania’s two nights across different countries. According to Bischoff, WWE could host WrestleMania Saturday in one city and WrestleMania Sunday in another, potentially breaking new ground for the annual spectacular.

“Since WrestleMania is two nights anyway, why not do one night in Vegas and one night in London? It could be done. That would be wild.”

—Eric Bischoff, Former WCW President

This idea draws on history—WWE once experimented with multi-location formats at WrestleMania 2 in 1986, when the event occurred simultaneously in California, Illinois, and New York. However, after that year, the company returned to one centralized venue for future editions.

Las Vegas, Saudi Arabia Stand Out; Australia Stirs Speculation

Despite the intrigue surrounding a two-country show, Bischoff indicated that Las Vegas is the overwhelming favorite to host WrestleMania 42. He also highlighted Saudi Arabia as a logical option, noting its financial incentives and the recent shift in WWE’s premium event strategy.

“If I had to place money on it [WrestleMania 42’s location], I’d bet Vegas,”

Bischoff said.

“My second bet would be Saudi because there’s even more money there, and I’m still kind of intrigued as to why WWE moved the Crown Jewel event from Saudi to Australia. That, to me, is the biggest indication that there might be some smoke with that fire, as far as WrestleMania and Saudi.”

—Eric Bischoff, Former WCW President

WWE’s decision to move its Crown Jewel event from its usual host in Saudi Arabia to Perth, Australia, has further fueled theories that Saudi Arabia could be next in line for a major pay-per-view event like WrestleMania. This strategic development suggests WWE may be open to expanding or shifting its global footprint for flagship events.

Breaking New Ground in WrestleMania History

The prospect of holding WrestleMania 42 at possible two-country locations represents a bold step for WWE, echoing rare moments in its history when the company sought to reinvent its biggest spectacle. As discussions continue around venues such as Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, cities like London, and possible Saudi Arabian sites, the wrestling world is watching to see if WWE will attempt another unprecedented dual-location event or return to its pattern of singular, stadium-scale shows. The decisions made for WrestleMania 42’s venue could set new trends in global sports entertainment for years to come.
