WrestleMania 42 Las Vegas will return to the Allegiant Stadium for the second consecutive year, surprising many WWE fans with the unexpected decision. This announcement came after the successful hosting of WrestleMania 41 at the same venue earlier in 2024, leading officials to shift plans originally set for New Orleans.
Earlier this year, Allegiant Stadium near Las Vegas welcomed over 58,000 spectators on the first night and more than 60,000 on the second night for WrestleMania 41. Initially, WrestleMania 42 was scheduled to take place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on April 11 and 12, 2026. However, WWE officials confirmed the event would remain in Las Vegas due to the tremendous success of the recent show. The New Orleans venue is expected to host its third WrestleMania event at a future date.
Despite the excitement surrounding the event’s location, there has been ongoing criticism of WWE’s rising ticket prices during the TKO era. PWInsider recently revealed the pricing structure for WrestleMania 42 tickets, causing further dissatisfaction among fans. These prices do not account for additional fees like those from Ticketmaster, which will increase the total cost for attendees.
Confirmed Plans for WrestleMania and WWE’s Future Events
World Wrestling Entertainment has planned for WrestleMania 43 to also take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026. Beyond this, the company has confirmed three future WrestleMania events extending beyond 2026, indicating an ambitious schedule for its premier live events.
Significantly, WrestleMania 43 is set to break new ground by being the first WrestleMania held outside North America, as WWE prepares to bring the event to Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The exact dates for this milestone event in 2027 are yet to be announced, but reports emphasize its importance for the region’s growing profile in international entertainment.
In addition to the Middle East expansion, WWE has formed a partnership with the Indiana Sports Corp to host multiple premium live events at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. This collaboration has already seen the 2025 Royal Rumble held at the venue, and future WrestleMania and SummerSlam events there are expected to be announced soon. The company has also committed to a Showcase of Immortals event in New Orleans, further solidifying the city’s role in WWE’s event calendar.
The decision to keep WrestleMania 42 Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium underscores WWE’s focus on venues and markets that can draw strong attendance and deliver memorable experiences. While the pricing controversy continues, these large-scale events are crucial to WWE’s business strategy, particularly as it expands into new international markets and develops partnerships for future live shows.
