With less than six weeks remaining before WrestleMania 42 takes place over two nights in Las Vegas, WWE ticket sales are advancing slowly. According to Dave Meltzer’s report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the number of tickets sold so far shows only modest increases since the WWE Elimination Chamber event, and most of the ticket demand is expected to rise closer to the dates of the show.
Detailed Ticket Numbers for Both Nights
For the two-night event scheduled at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, approximately 36,735 tickets have been sold for Night One, marking a growth of around 505 tickets compared to the previous week. Night Two has recorded about 37,346 tickets sold, reflecting a smaller increase of roughly 211 tickets. Combined, these sales exceed 70,000 for both evenings.
Pricing and Market Demand Insights
Secondary market ticket prices remain high, with starting prices near $256 for Night One and around $268 for Night Two. Despite the slow initial sales momentum, ticket prices suggest ongoing interest from fans. Historically, ticket purchases surge after the full match card and key headline matches are revealed, which WWE is still in the process of confirming via storylines on RAW and SmackDown.
Revenue Expectations and Factors Influencing Sales
Meltzer noted that revenue generated from WrestleMania 42—including gate receipts, ESPN pay-per-view earnings, and sponsorship deals—is expected to surpass all previous WWE events, even those hosted in Saudi Arabia. WWE typically builds anticipation during the weeks leading to WrestleMania by featuring major storyline developments, premium live events, and incorporating celebrity appearances to increase visibility and ticket demand.
Looking Ahead to Final Weeks Before WrestleMania 42
As WWE finalizes the WrestleMania 42 match card and continues storyline development, ticket sales are anticipated to gain traction. The weeks ahead will be critical for generating excitement through headline matches and promotional efforts, which historically have driven significant surges in ticket purchases. With the venue’s large capacity and strong fan interest, WWE expects robust attendance despite the slow start.
