During this period, he competed as part of the Soldiers of Savagery tag team, gaining experience across the independent circuit while building a reputation for his physical presence and tag team prowess.

Ring of Honor Breakthrough (2018–2021)

Kaun debuted in Ring of Honor in 2018, teaming with Moses as the Soldiers of Savagery. In 2021, he and Moses formed the stable Shane Taylor Promotions with Shane Taylor.
