He is signed to WWE, where he performs on the Raw brand and competes as a member of The Vision stable. Reed is a former one-time NXT North American Champion and the winner of the 2024 André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Standing 183 cm tall and weighing approximately 150 kg, Reed has become one of the most physically imposing performers on the WWE roster. He began his professional career in 2007 on the Australian independent circuit and has since competed in promotions across Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the United States before establishing himself as a main-roster star in WWE.

Early Life and Background

Jermaine Haley was born in Adelaide, South Australia, into a family of Samoan descent. Growing up in Adelaide, he was exposed to a wide range of sports during his childhood, playing Australian rules football, soccer, rugby, and basketball. Despite his success across multiple sports, Haley maintained a strong interest in professional wrestling throughout his school years.

After graduating from high school, he made the decision to pursue a career in professional wrestling rather than continue in conventional sports. He is also a lifelong supporter of the Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League, a passion he has occasionally referenced in interviews.

Path to Professional Wrestling

Haley began training and debuting in 2007 under the ring names Jonah Rock and J-Rock, working throughout the Australian independent circuit. Over the next eleven years, he built a reputation as a powerful and agile big man, capturing numerous regional titles including multiple reigns as Wrestle Rampage Australian National Champion and the Melbourne City Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship.

His work was not limited to Australian promotions. He also appeared in Japan’s Pro Wrestling NOAH, the British promotions Revolution Pro Wrestling and PROGRESS Wrestling, the German promotion Westside Xtreme Wrestling, and the American independent promotion Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. These international experiences helped him develop a well-rounded skill set and prepared him for the global stage.

His travels through Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the United States broadened his in-ring style and gave him experience against a wide range of opponents. By the time WWE came calling, he had built a strong foundation as a hard-hitting, athletic heavyweight.

NXT Era (2019–2021)

In January 2019, Haley’s signing to WWE was announced as part of a class of twelve new recruits reporting to the NXT developmental brand. He made his NXT live event debut on 9 March 2019 under his real name before being rechristened Bronson Reed in June 2019.
