Sean Tan Li Hao, known professionally as Dante Chen, was born on January 20, 1996, in Singapore. Growing up in Woodlands, his interest in professional wrestling was sparked by his elder brother, who introduced him to WWE video games. Chen attended Assumption English School for his secondary education and later pursued a certificate in Business at ITE College West. After serving in the Singapore Army from 2015 to 2017, he earned a diploma in Health Management and Promotion from Republic Polytechnic in 2020.

In January 2013, Chen began his wrestling journey by joining Singapore Pro Wrestling (SPW) as a trainee, where he trained under SPW founders Andruew Tang and Vadim Koryagin.
