Julius Creed Bio
Julius Creed, born Jacob Kasper on October 3, 1994, in Lexington, Ohio, is an American professional wrestler signed to WWE. Performing on the Raw brand as part of the tag team the Creed Brothers, he works alongside his younger brother Brutus Creed. The brothers have established themselves as a hard-hitting duo within WWE, blending their amateur wrestling pedigree with a power-based professional style.
Before transitioning to professional wrestling, Julius built a decorated career in collegiate wrestling at Duke University, where he became one of the program’s most accomplished athletes. The Creed Brothers are former NXT Tag Team Champions and currently operate as members of the American Made stable on Raw.
Early Life and Background
Jacob Kasper was born in Lexington, Ohio, and raised alongside his younger brother Drew, who would later become known in WWE as Brutus Creed. The brothers attended Lexington High School, where they both competed in amateur wrestling and developed the physical foundation that would later define their careers.
Following high school, Jacob enrolled at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where he studied sociology and graduated in 2018. At Duke, he joined the Blue Devils wrestling program and quickly emerged as a standout competitor. He was a two-time NCAA All-American and a three-time NCAA Academic All-American, and he captured the 2018 Atlantic Coast Conference heavyweight championship.
During his time at Duke, Jacob set a Blue Devils record for the most wins in a single season and ranked second in program history for overall career wins. He also represented the United States at the 2016 Olympic trials in both Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, finishing fifth. In 2017, he helped train mixed martial artist Daniel Cormier in preparation for his bout with Jon Jones at UFC 214. After completing his degree, he returned to Duke as an assistant wrestling coach in 2018.
Path to Professional Wrestling
Jacob’s transition to professional wrestling began when he was scouted by WWE talent evaluator Gerald Brisco at the 2018 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships. He attended a WWE try-out in June of that year, and in October 2020 he was officially signed by the company. He was assigned to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, where he trained for his in-ring career.
After years of amateur competition, the move to WWE offered Jacob a new platform to showcase his grappling ability. In June 2021, he was renamed Julius Creed, adopting the ring name that would carry him into WWE’s NXT brand.
