Bubba Ray Dudley Says BJ Ray Could Be WWE’s Home-Grown Logan Paul in LFG Season 2 Revolution

Published:

WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley recently shared his belief that BJ Ray could become the WWE home-grown Logan Paul, as the second season of WWE LFG launched on A&E on June 22. This new season of WWE LFG introduces 16 fresh and returning competitors, all vying for a coveted WWE NXT contract under the guidance of veteran coaches including The Undertaker, Booker T, Bubba Ray Dudley himself, and Michelle McCool.

BJ Ray’s Return to WWE LFG and Bubba Ray Dudley’s Expectations

During an interview with TV Insider, Bubba Ray Dudley discussed the return of his team member, BJ Ray, to the show. Dudley, known for his outspoken coaching style, acknowledged the prior friction between him and BJ in Season 1 but highlighted BJ’s potential and personality as standout assets. Dudley referenced the lessons learned from Season 1 and stressed the need for BJ to improve his in-ring abilities, suggesting that success would require both personality and wrestling prowess.

“You’re going to see BJ this season. I know everyone wants to know what type of interaction there will be with BJ Ray and Bubba Ray Dudley. Things were tense last year. Here’s what I hope for this season. I hope he learned from Season 1. BJ has lots of potential and so much charisma and personality. He can be a home-grown Logan Paul for WWE. But you have got to get it, and you have to be able to get it in the ring. All of the feedback you heard from myself and other legends was, yeah BJ, you have it on the personality side, but in the ring, you’re just not getting the job done. Hopefully, he can put the two together and improve and evolve in the ring and turn into the version of BJ Ray I think we all hope he can turn into.”

A Look Back at Season 1’s Challenges

The first season of WWE LFG saw a tumultuous relationship between Bubba Ray Dudley and BJ Ray. While Dudley ultimately chose to mentor BJ, their dynamic was often contentious, leading to frequent disagreements throughout the competition. Despite the challenging partnership, Dudley has consistently recognized BJ Ray’s potential and charisma, though he insists that further improvement in the ring is necessary.
