NXT is set to return to Full Sail University’s Full Sail Live venue on September 16, marking an exciting homecoming for the wrestling brand at its original broadcasting location. This highly anticipated event, known as NXT Homecoming, will be aired live on The CW at 8pm ET/7pm CT, offering fans direct access to thrilling matches and performances while honoring the brand’s beginnings.
Partnership Between WWE and Full Sail University Spurs Growth and Opportunities
Since 2012, WWE and Full Sail University have maintained a collaborative partnership allowing NXT to broadcast live shows from the university’s cutting-edge performance venue. This collaboration, which lasted until 2020, supported a scholarship fund and enabled Full Sail students and alumni enrolled in entertainment-related degree programs to gain valuable behind-the-scenes production experience. Their involvement ranged from working alongside WWE’s production professionals to contributing directly to the live broadcasts.
The ongoing relationship continues to thrive, providing students and graduates with opportunities to engage in WWE content creation, work at the nearby WWE Performance Center in Orlando, and help produce live events such as the upcoming Homecoming. To date, approximately 1,400 Full Sail students have participated in this partnership, with many alumni now working across WWE’s global events, including WrestleMania.
