WWE NXT Latest Ratings Report: Viewership Dips but Beats Last Year

Published:

The most recent episode of WWE NXT aired on August 19 on The CW, attracting an average of 675,000 viewers. While this represents a decline compared to the previous two weeks, it still surpasses viewership figures from the same period last year, according to the WWE NXT latest ratings report.

Viewership Trends Over Recent Weeks and Years

The broadcast’s audience last night was down from 728,000 viewers the prior week and 740,000 two weeks earlier. Despite this decrease, the current ten-week rolling average remains steady at 686,000 viewers. When compared to last year’s numbers during this week, which were at 639,000, the show has seen an improvement in total audience size. The ten-week rolling figure from a year ago was notably lower at 603,000 viewers. Looking further back, two years earlier the viewership was higher at 720,000, with the ten-week rolling average reaching 692,000.

Performance in the Key 18-49 Demographic

Regarding the critical 18-49 demographic, the show recorded a 0.15 rating, a slight drop from 0.17 and 0.16 recorded in the preceding two weeks. The ten-week average rating for this demographic currently stands at 0.16. In comparison, last year’s weekly rating was 0.16 with a ten-week average of 0.18, while two years ago it reached 0.19 weekly, maintaining a ten-week rolling average of 0.20.

Featured Matches and Storyline Developments

The episode included several notable contests and segments. Trick Williams faced Je’Von Evans in a match to determine the number one contender for the NXT Championship. The six-woman tag team match featured Fatal Influence taking on The Elegance Brand, with Masha Slamovich serving as the special guest referee. Other matches included Ricky Saints versus Jasper Troy and a Philadelphia Street Fight between Yoshiki Inamura and Josh Briggs. Additional storyline moments saw Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe engaging in a face-to-face confrontation, while Chelsea Green and Ethan Page proposed a peace treaty to Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steel.

Context and Future Expectations

Although the latest episode‘s ratings reflect a dip from recent weeks, WWE NXT continues to outperform its previous year’s viewership. The show’s ability to maintain a ten-week rolling average above last year’s figures suggests a level of consistent audience interest. Upcoming episodes will be essential to observe whether this trend sustains or if adjustments in the programming will be necessary to boost engagement further.
