WWE‘s developmental brand NXT will no longer be available on the Peacock streaming platform after March 15, 2026, as part of ongoing changes in WWE’s media distribution. Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com confirmed this timeline, marking a notable shift in where WWE NXT content will be accessible for viewers following its departure from NBCUniversal’s service.
Changes in WWE’s Media Rights and Streaming Platforms
This transition takes place amid significant adjustments in WWE’s domestic media rights deals. Starting September 2025, WWE’s major Premium Live Events, including the first-ever Wrestlepalooza, will move from Peacock to ESPN under a new broadcast agreement. Although Peacock lost the rights to these main roster supercards, it retained a limited role through a multi-year contract to stream quarterly editions of Saturday Night’s Main Event exclusively.
NXT’s New Broadcast Partnership with The CW
The removal of NXT programming from Peacock corresponds with WWE’s long-term deal with The CW Network. Initiated in November 2023 and effective from October 2024, this five-year agreement designates The CW as the sole broadcast home for NXT, shifting the show from its previous slot on the USA Network. This realignment emphasizes The CW’s exclusive role in airing NXT content moving forward.
The Evolution and Future Availability of NXT Content
Since its debut on Syfy in February 2010 as a replacement for the ECW brand, NXT has evolved significantly. Originally a competition-based show on WWE.com, it has grown into a standalone developmental brand showcased on WWE Network, cable television, and streaming platforms. What remains uncertain is whether the NXT back catalog will transfer to The CW’s digital outlets immediately or be incorporated with the main roster’s archive, like recent releases on the WWE Vault YouTube channel.
