Last week, WWE NXT experienced a significant drop in viewers, attracting only 589,000 people during the State of the Union address, marking the lowest viewership this year. After maintaining over 600,000 viewers for 11 consecutive weeks and peaking at 744,000 on February 17, the show struggled to regain momentum leading up to the Vengeance Day event scheduled for Saturday.
Viewership Data Shows Slight Improvement Despite Intense Scheduling
Based on reports from Wrestlenomics and Programming Insider, WWE NXT averaged 604,000 viewers and achieved a 0.09 rating in the crucial 18-49 age demographic, representing the program’s second-lowest numbers this year. Compared to the previous week, total viewers grew by 3%, while the 18-49 demographic rose by 12%. These gains came despite WWE NXT facing heavy competition with ten NBA games and eleven NHL games airing simultaneously on Tuesday night.
Declining Ratings Highlight Growing Concerns for the Brand
Although WWE NXT began 2026 with strong ratings, it has seen a 15% decrease in total viewership compared to last year, with an even steeper 40% decline in the key 18-49 demo since March 2025, dropping from a 0.15 average rating. With Vengeance Day set as WWE NXT’s final event before Stand & Deliver, the brand is depending heavily on the outcomes of the Premium Live Event to help elevate ratings for next Tuesday’s broadcast. Notable matches scheduled for Vengeance Day include Joe Hendry defending the NXT Championship against Ricky Saints, and Izzi Dame facing Tatum Paxley for the Women’s North American Title.
