WWE’s Kit Wilson Hints at Pretty Deadly Musical Comeback

WWE SmackDown‘s Kit Wilson is determined to confront toxic masculinity within the wrestling world by reviving Pretty Deadly: The Musical. The musical aims to encourage men globally to lower emotional barriers and participate in an engaging sing-along with Wilson and his tag team partner, Elton Prince. While Prince recovers from a neck injury and Wilson focuses on establishing himself as a singles competitor, the musical project remains a notable ambition.

Progress and Possibilities for the Musical’s Future

Wilson, a former two-time NXT Tag Team Champion, revealed to Insight with Chris Van Vliet that the musical is still very much a reality despite the delay.

“Hey, the musical was big, and we had some big plans for that musical. It’s still coming,”

Wilson stated.

He further explained,

“I just don’t know when, I’ll say that…I guess to say a little bit about the musical…the musical is a real thing. We have or had, I guess I still have in my files, 10 songs. We had lyrics. We were learning them. We were, like, trying to do a… proper good job of it. We wanted to go full force with it…It still might happen. We never know. If this career goes well, I think there’s a good excuse to hit it.”

Ambitions to Host the Musical in England During WrestleMania

Wilson also mentioned the hope to stage the musical in their native England, especially if WWE brings WrestleMania to the country. Having invested effort into the musical’s songbook and performance, Wilson eagerly anticipates fans’ reactions, with particular enthusiasm for the male audience’s response.

Significance and Potential Impact on WWE Fans

The potential return of Pretty Deadly: The Musical underscores Wilson’s commitment to blending entertainment formats within professional wrestling, while addressing broader social themes. If successfully executed, it could mark a unique milestone for WWE fan engagement, especially by encouraging emotional openness among men. The progression of Wilson’s singles career and WWE’s event planning will likely influence the musical’s timeline and prominence.
