World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is set to revive the WWE Worlds Collide major event on September 12, 2025, blending top talents from RAW, SmackDown, and AAA. This announcement follows WWE’s recent efforts under the leadership of Triple H to strengthen its premium live event offerings during the Endeavor era.
Originally launched in early 2019, Worlds Collide showcased a tournament involving wrestlers from NXT, NXT UK, and 205 Live, with the inaugural event taped in Phoenix. Later that year, the series expanded to include main roster superstars and was filmed in Brooklyn over several episodes. A subsequent event in early 2020 was held in Houston, featuring NXT and NXT UK competitors again.
Details of the 2025 WWE Worlds Collide Event
The upcoming fifth installment in the Worlds Collide series will occur at The Pavilion within the Thomas & Mack Center near Las Vegas. The event is co-produced by WWE and AAA, continuing the partnership that introduced AAA wrestlers alongside WWE’s RAW and SmackDown rosters.
Unlike many previous WWE events, this one will be broadcast live exclusively on YouTube, following the recent approach used for AAA‘s Triplemania XXXIII. The night’s schedule includes a SmackDown show in Toledo, Ohio, featuring Brock Lesnar‘s return to the blue brand, providing double entertainment for wrestling fans.
Significance of the Venue and Event Evolution
WWE has a long history with the Thomas & Mack Center, frequently utilizing it for major events until newer venues emerged in Las Vegas. The company last held shows there in September 2017, including the Mae Young Classic finals and various live events. The Pavilion, hosting the 2025 Worlds Collide, also welcomed the TNA Unbreakable event earlier this year, highlighting its growing importance as a wrestling venue.
This return of Worlds Collide demonstrates WWE’s ongoing strategy to diversify its event portfolio by combining talents from different brands and partner promotions like AAA. Fans can anticipate a dynamic show that merges global wrestling styles and storylines, potentially setting a new standard for collaborative wrestling events moving forward.
