Dance Beyond Limits: Jasmine Harper and Ashley Everett’s Wellness Movement

Dance Beyond Limits: In the heart of Atlanta, a movement is quietly gaining momentum, led by two remarkable women who have graced some of the world’s biggest stages. Jasmine Harper and Ashley Everett, renowned professional dancers, have transcended the spotlight to create a space where wellness takes center stage.

Their brainchild, Be> (Be Greater), goes beyond the confines of traditional wellness programs. It’s a lifestyle and wellness brand designed to liberate individuals from self-imposed limitations. The journey began when Harper, known for her appearances on “So You Think You Can Dance” and collaborations with artists like Beyoncé, envisioned a way to empower others through movement.

Teaming up with her close friends, fellow professional dancer Ashley Everett, celebrated for her work as Beyoncé’s dance captain, and publicist Randy Bonds, the trio birthed Be> with the aim of inviting everyone to thrive together on their wellness journey.

“We just learned that we were all aligned on this wellness journey. We thought, how about inviting everyone else on their wellness journey into a space where we can all just thrive together?” Harper shared.

The brand offers interactive retreats, workshops, and a podcast, providing a holistic approach to wellness. Everett, having experienced the weight of expectations as Beyoncé’s dance captain, made a pivotal decision to focus on her own brand. Her departure from the “Renaissance Tour” marked a shift in mindset – realizing her intrinsic value beyond the stage.

“In 2020 [during the pandemic] is when my mindset shifted. I don’t have to be on the stage with this person, or do this huge job or whatever, it is to have value in myself,” Everett explained.

Harper, too, aimed to move beyond the confines of background dancing, expressing a desire to step out of the shadows. “Not just with Beyoncé, but just in general. We have the knowledge, we have the passion behind it. Also, we’re on this journey ourselves. We’re not just preaching it to everyone. We’re also being greater than,” Harper added.

Randy Bonds, accustomed to working in support of celebrity clients, expanded his work by embracing the ethos of shining one’s light boldly and authentically. This sentiment forms the core value of Be>, emphasizing authenticity as a powerful force for change.

The brand soft-launched with a retreat in Atlanta, Georgia, offering participants a blend of healthy living, breath work, trauma release, and unconventional wellness discussions. Harper and Everett, true to their roots, led participants in choreography not just for exercise but as a lesson in strutting into confidence.

“Wellness to me means intentional lifestyle choices,” Everett shared. “Being intentional about your choices and always making sure it is something that is gonna be good for you and benefit you in the end.”

Harper echoed this sentiment, emphasizing walking in purpose, on purpose, and breaking free from self-imposed limitations. Bonds highlighted the importance of making wellness accessible and a lifestyle choice, challenging the notion that self-care is a distant retirement plan.

In a world that often encourages people to dim their light, Be> stands as a beacon, urging individuals to be authentic and embrace a powerful force for change – themselves.

The movement is more than a dance; it’s a journey toward wellness liberation, where intentional choices lead to a life that transcends limitations, a life that is greater than imagined.
