San Jose Mail Carrier Heist Sparks $150K Reward Hunt

San Jose Mail Carrier Heist Sparks: A suspect in the audacious robbery of a U.S. Postal Service worker in a San Jose neighborhood last month is being sought by federal officials. November 14’s 1:40 p.m. event occurred at 2465 Ontario Drive near Somersworth Drive. The gravity of the robbery generated a $150,000 reward, although officials have not disclosed the things stolen.

Postal Inspection Service provided photographs of the suspect and a vehicle associated to the event. A bag was found on the suspect, who wore a black hooded sweatshirt, face mask, gloves, pants, and shoes. The suspect drives a gray or beige 4-door sedan.

This incident is part of a concerning trend of robberies targeting mail carriers. In a recent case in Palo Alto, a mail carrier was not only robbed but also injured, losing postal keys and cell phones while delivering mail. Authorities are actively seeking two individuals connected to this violent robbery and assault.

Ten Bay Area postal criminals were arrested in October for assaulting postal workers, breaking into mail vans, and stealing mail. The USPSIS requests that anybody with information on the San Jose incident call 1-877-876-2455 and reference case number 4190574-ROBB. Federal authorities continue to search for the criminal to protect postal systems and mail carriers.
