All Elite Wrestling (AEW) boasts a highly skilled roster, particularly within its acclaimed tag team division, widely regarded as among the best globally. Presently, FTR holds the AEW World Tag Team Championships, having claimed the titles from Brodido at Full Gear 2025. Meanwhile, former champions Anthony Bowens and Max Caster, known as the Acclaimed, have parted ways as a tag team despite repeated attempts by AEW President Tony Khan to bring them back together on AEW programming.
In a recent discussion with Phoenix New Times, Anthony Bowens made it clear that he has no plans to reunite with Max Caster. Although Khan has featured segments designed to rekindle their partnership, Bowens emphasized that both wrestlers are focused on their singles careers and do not feel a reunion is necessary.
Inside Bowens’ Perspective on the Tag Team Separation
Bowens acknowledged the undeniable chemistry he shares with Caster, a factor that contributed to their success as a duo. However, he stressed their mutual desire to pursue singles ambitions, which makes reuniting unlikely in the near future. He also mentioned the tension that arises from their differing goals but maintained that respect remains between them despite disagreements.
“I mean, I can’t deny that we have a certain chemistry, considering our past success, but at this point, neither one of us want to be in a tag team, so we are fighting it as much as we can. Even in our moments where we disagree with each other, there’s chemistry as well. So it’s very hard to say. We both have singles aspirations. We feel like we accomplished what we wanted to accomplish in the tag-team division. So we don’t really feel like being together again is very necessary. But again, we were constantly reminded by Tony and the fans that chemistry remains and we should be back together. But I don’t really see that happening anytime soon, to be honest.” said Bowens.
Anthony Bowens’ Accomplishments and Future Prospects
As a decorated performer, Anthony Bowens has earned the AEW World Tag Team Championship and the World Trios Championship during his career. He has also captured titles in other wrestling promotions such as the Independent Wrestling Federation and WrestlePro. Now 35 years old, Bowens is recognized for his in-ring abilities and may be positioning himself for a future singles championship within AEW. Fans and analysts alike are watching closely to see what milestones he will reach next.
