Bayley Holds Onto Hope for WrestleMania 42 Tag Team Spot

As WrestleMania 42 approaches in just over a month, Bayley remains optimistic about securing a spot on the event’s card alongside Lyra Valkyria. While neither currently has a confirmed match, the hope persists despite both missing qualification for the women’s Elimination Chamber match and not earning title opportunities at the Royal Rumble. Their aspirations for inclusion highlight their determination to make an impact on WWE’s biggest stage.

Reflecting on Past WrestleMania Challenges

Bayley’s previous opportunity at WrestleMania was derailed last year due to a storyline injury, raising concerns about missing the event again. Speaking to Busted Open Radio, she shared her mixed feelings about the possibility of sitting out the show two years consecutively, emphasizing the ongoing drive to find a chance to compete, especially as a tag team with Lyra Valkyria.

Bayley’s Perspective on Missing WrestleMania and Tag Team Prospects

Addressing her emotions about potentially being absent from this year’s WrestleMania, Bayley said,

“I don’t know if it’s nervous, or more anxious and a little furious. I feel with Lyra not qualifying for Chamber and myself not qualifying for Chamber that there’s still hope, and that there’s something that we can do as a team. That’s something that we’ve been pushing since last WrestleMania, and that was obviously like taken from us.”

She added,

“So if it were to come to that and we had an opportunity as a tag team, I think that might be a nice full circle moment. But you know, I’ve taken a few losses in my day. So I kind of just move on, and you got to do what you got to do to. Ot all depends on how you react to things, I guess.”

Bayley’s words convey her readiness to embrace whatever comes next while holding onto the possibility of turning things around as part of a team.

Adapting and Evolving: Bayley’s Drive to Improve

When asked if she ever feels frustrated about her uncertain position, Bayley acknowledged the challenge but framed it as motivation.

“A little bit, yeah. It’s more of like, I love to constantly evolve. And if I’m in these spots where I feel I know I could be doing better or I know I could be doing more, I just try to figure out what I can do with what’s in front of me. And right now I feel like that’s me and Lyra as a team. And her and I have these conversations a lot now. I’m just like, ‘You know what? If you want to dump me just go ahead and do your own thing.’ She’s like, ‘No!’”

Bayley elaborated on their partnership’s strength:

“We both believe in this team so much. I feel like she helps me a lot, She teaches me so much. She’s — a lot this past year has kept me hopeful and grounded, and I feel like I’ve done a little bit different for her. We’re kind of like trying to bring her out of her shell and show more of who she truly is aside from how incredible she is in the ring. So we both really believe in this tag team and I think we’re put in these situations all the time for a reason, and they’re nice tests. I think it really shows your true character when your back’s against the wall and you’re not just in that spotlight. It’s like, ‘What are you going to do here, though?’”

Her reflections emphasize the growth and resilience both wrestlers have cultivated amid adversity.

Looking Forward to Possible WrestleMania Opportunities

Despite setbacks at both Elimination Chamber and Royal Rumble, Bayley’s optimism shines through regarding the potential for a joint tag team appearance with Lyra Valkyria at WrestleMania 42. Their continued belief in the partnership and readiness to prove themselves suggests a determination to seize any opportunity presented, hoping to make an impactful return to WWE’s marquee event. Fans and followers of Bayley and Lyra will likely watch closely as the WrestleMania card develops in the coming weeks, hoping this hopeful duo earns their place in the spotlight.
