Bronson Reed Reveals WWE Theme Track Triple H Rejected

Published:

Bronson Reed WWE theme fans should not expect to hear his previous entrance music Guillotine used in WWE programming. The track, a 2011 release by experimental hip-hop group Death Grips, was a defining soundtrack for Reed during his independent wrestling years, but WWE leadership did not approve of it.

In a recent interview on AFL Today, Reed shared reflections on the importance of entrance themes in wrestling, explaining how these songs help create atmosphere and identity during a ring entrance. He revealed that although he appreciates WWE’s elaborate production and custom in-house music, he sometimes misses the distinctiveness of his old theme.

When you come out for your entrance, it sets the tone, so I always wanted something that was distinctive. I have that with WWE, it’s obviously a bigger scale and budget. They like to do their own in-house music, but I do miss my old music sometimes.

Triple H’s Response to Bronson Reed’s Entrance Music Choice

Reed disclosed that Paul Levesque, known in WWE as Triple H and serving as Chief Content Officer, was not enthusiastic about Guillotine. He explained that their music tastes did not align, and Triple H did not experience the track within the proper environment, contributing to his lack of approval.

Well, the thing is, this is going to expose my boss, but he’s a good dude,

Reed remarked before adding,

I once showed ‘Guillotine’ to Triple H and he was not a fan. I think maybe he didn’t listen to it in the right atmosphere. You know, listening to something on your phone and then hearing some crazy man start rambling. I’m like, if you heard it in an arena with the bass and the treble and stuff, then you would understand it works. But yeah, he was not a fan of ‘Guillotine.’

This contrast highlights the tension between individual wrestler identity and WWE’s branded direction for performers’ presentation.

Recent WWE Appearances and Storyline Developments Involving Bronson Reed

Bronson Reed last appeared on WWE Raw in a match held at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he teamed up with Bron Breakker. The duo faced off against The Usos in a Tornado Tag match, continuing a rivalry that began earlier at the WWE WrestlePalooza pay-per-view event held on September 20 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Following the match, Roman Reigns, the reigning Tribal Chief and master of the Ula Fala, returned unexpectedly. Reigns confronted Reed, who had previously incapacitated him along with Breakker weeks prior, further intensifying their ongoing feud.

The Significance of Theme Music and What’s Next for Bronson Reed

The rejection of Bronson Reed’s preferred theme track by Triple H underscores the complexities wrestlers face balancing personal expression with WWE’s overarching creative vision. Entrance themes hold crucial sway in shaping a wrestler’s persona and audience connection, making this decision significant in Reed’s presentation on WWE television.

Going forward, Reed will continue to perform under WWE’s in-house music directives, which carry a larger production scale but may lack the distinctive edge his past theme provided. His ongoing storyline, highlighted by his recent conflict with Roman Reigns and participation in marquee events like WWE Raw and WrestlePalooza, suggests he remains a prominent figure in WWE’s current landscape.
