Bronson Reed Opens Up on Daily Struggles and Lasting Impact of Severe Foot Injury After WWE Comeback

Published:

WWE Raw star Bronson Reed has publicly shared the significant challenges he faces due to a Bronson Reed severe foot injury sustained at last year’s Survivor Series: WarGames event. The injury has left a lasting impact not only on his wrestling career but also on his everyday life.

During a recent WWE Raw Recap, Reed described the extent of the damage to his foot.

I broke my talus bone completely in half. It separated and went apart. And so that’s a very hard injury to come back from,

he revealed, emphasizing the unusual difficulty in recovering from such a fracture.

Enduring a Lengthy and Painful Rehabilitation Process

Reed recounted the painstaking rehabilitation that followed the injury, highlighting the toll it took on his body.

I had my foot up like this for three months. My leg atrophied. I had to build all my muscle back up in this right leg. Had to learn to walk again on this right leg, then learn to run, then learn to jump, and then eventually get in a ring and do everything that we do in the ring.

His narrative makes clear how physically demanding the recovery was, involving relearning fundamental movements just to return to competitive wrestling.

Persistent Pain Despite Returning to the Ring

Even though Bronson Reed has resumed in-ring action, the pain from his injury remains a daily struggle. He acknowledged that everyday motions like walking and running continue to cause discomfort.

The crazy part about it is, is everyday life, walking around, running, doing those things, it’s painful, but when I get in that ring, I forget it,

Reed said, showing how wrestling provides a momentary escape from his physical challenges.

Wrestling is what brought me back from the injury. But I’m still in pain every day, but I’m working through it.

Permanent Limitations and Adapting to a New Normal

Despite regaining functionality, Reed admitted the injury caused irreversible damage to his foot’s mobility.

My mobility in this right foot will never be 100% again,

he stated.

My new 100% is 75% of normal mobility in your foot… but I get it done.

This acceptance reflects a difficult adjustment as he continues his career with physical restrictions.

Returning to a Prominent Role on WWE Raw

Bronson Reed has re-emerged in a key position on Monday Night Raw as a member of The Vision faction, working alongside World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and manager Paul Heyman. His comeback underlines his resilience, even as he navigates the ongoing challenges from his injury. The full WWE Raw Recap, featuring Reed’s detailed comments, offers further insight into his arduous path to recovery and current mindset.
