CM Punk’s Night Patrol Horror Film Set for Theatrical Release

Published:

CM Punk’s latest film project, Night Patrol, has secured a theatrical release scheduled for January 16, 2026. The announcement was made on Thursday during Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, where the movie is also set to premiere. Although Punk was expected to attend the festival, he was unable to participate due to his commitments at this weekend’s WWE Wrestlepalooza event.

About Night Patrol and Its Cast

Night Patrol, first revealed last October, features CM Punk portraying a brutal right-hand man to a police sergeant. The indie horror film includes a notable cast with Justin Long, Jermaine Fowler, RJ Cyler, Dermot Mulroney, Freddie Gibbs, YG, Flying Lotus, Jon Oswald, and Nicki Micheaux among its stars. The storyline centers on an L.A. cop who uncovers a hidden secret within a task force that threatens the safety of his childhood neighborhood.

CM Punk’s Growing Acting Career and Upcoming Wrestling Appearance

Since signing with Paradigm Talent Agency last summer, CM Punk has aimed to broaden his entertainment portfolio. He has appeared in several films and television projects since his acting debut in 2019. His most recent role was in the Syfy series Revival, where he appeared in four episodes available for streaming on Peacock. Meanwhile, Punk remains active in wrestling and is scheduled to compete alongside his wife AJ Lee against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at WWE Wrestlepalooza. This event marks the first premium live event under WWE’s new five-year partnership with ESPN.

Looking Ahead: The Significance of Night Patrol’s Upcoming Release

Night Patrol’s theatrical debut marks a significant step for CM Punk as he continues balancing his wrestling career with expanding roles in entertainment. Its January 2026 release following the Fantastic Fest premiere could open further opportunities for Punk in film, while also attracting attention to the indie horror genre. Fans can anticipate seeing Punk’s acting abilities within a suspenseful narrative set against the backdrop of L.A.’s complex community dynamics.
