While many AEW wrestlers are traveling to Sydney for the Grand Slam: Australia event this weekend, Daniel Garcia and El Clon will be competing in Mexico City. The two, associated with Death Riders and the Don Callis Family respectively, have been announced to appear at two Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) shows taking place Saturday and Sunday.
Although neither is featured on Friday night’s Arena México card, often considered CMLL’s main weekly event, they will take part in weekend events at Arena Coliseo and Arena México.
Match Details for Weekend CMLL Cards
On Saturday at Arena Coliseo, the headline tag team match will have Volador Jr. partnering with El Clon to face Angel de Oro and Daniel Garcia. Following that, Sunday’s event returns to Arena México, where Garcia and Clon will join Neon and Esfinge in a four-way contest.

Meanwhile, El Clon, who previously wrestled in Mexico as Arez before adopting his current persona in AEW last year, will appear on CMLL’s main platform for the first time.
Additional AEW Stars Announced for Upcoming CMLL Women’s Event
CMLL also revealed that AEW’s Mercedes Moné, Megan Bayne, and Penelope Ford will be part of a women’s event on March 6 at Arena México, demonstrating continued collaboration between AEW talents and the Mexican promotion.
