The dynamics inside The Judgment Day faction may change drastically during tonight’s WWE RAW episode. Recently, the group has been in the spotlight as Liv Morgan won the Women’s Royal Rumble Match, and Finn Balor secured a rematch against CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship scheduled for Elimination Chamber. However, Balor might be facing a major hurdle ahead of his title shot on February 28, as the heel stable could potentially oust him from the group tonight.
Following Balor’s recent bout with CM Punk in Belfast, Ireland, there were signs he was leaning toward a face turn. He showed respect to Punk the following week, and CM Punk hinted that Balor should reconsider his allegiance to The Judgment Day.
Interestingly, Balor appeared to be reflecting on Punk’s suggestion, which did not sit well with Liv Morgan. Morgan confronted Balor, reminding him that the faction is like family. Despite Balor attacking Punk later and preparing to challenge him for the title, the faction might decide to remove him from their ranks.
The Miracle Kid might reveal that instead of waiting for Balor to betray The Judgment Day, the group decided to preemptively get rid of him. Such a move could finally push Balor to complete a face turn and renew his rivalry with Punk in his former persona. Still, this could open the door for the villainous group’s interference, potentially costing Balor a championship victory in Chicago. At this stage, this remains speculative, and WWE has yet to confirm any storyline.
Finn Balor’s Potential WrestleMania Challenge for the Intercontinental Title
Should Finn Balor exit The Judgment Day soon, he may set his sights on challenging Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship at WWE WrestleMania 42. Dominik, also known as “Dirty” Dom, captured the IC Title at last year’s WrestleMania in a Fatal Four-Way Match that included Balor, with Mysterio pinning Balor for the victory.
Despite ongoing tensions, the faction has not yet split, but that could change in the near future. A babyface turn for Balor might lead to a high-profile showdown with Dominik at The Show of Shows. However, this possibility remains unconfirmed and rests on future WWE booking decisions, making it a storyline to watch closely as WrestleMania approaches.
