WWE star Grayson Waller recently appeared on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast to reveal his personal Mount Rushmore of Australian wrestlers, highlighting key figures who have shaped the wrestling scene down under. Among his selections, Rhea Ripley stands out as his number one choice, reflecting both her impact on the industry and her growing global influence.
Rhea Ripley’s Impact on Australian Wrestling and Beyond
Waller praised Ripley for revolutionizing wrestling in Australia, noting her ability to attract attention even from major figures outside wrestling.
“So number one, I think it has to be Rhea [Ripley]. Just because she’s completely changed what the industry is in Australia. She’s got Drake talking about her saying that she’s his muse and all this stuff. That is next level, world expansion stuff. I think Rhea is one of the best wrestlers I’ve ever seen and is still the most grounded and relaxed individual I’ve ever met in my life,”
Waller said.
Other Wrestlers Included in Waller’s Elite Group
Alongside Ripley, Waller included Madison Eagles, recognizing her as a former world number one and a standout female wrestler. He also named Robbie Eagles and added himself to the list, describing his style as a unique entertainment-driven variation within the Australian wrestling community.
“There’s another lady, Madison Eagles, who was ranked number one in the world. I still think she’s the best female wrestler of all time. Robbie [Eagles], I got to put him on there too. And I think I have to be on there. I am a different variation of what the Australian wrestlers do. I brought the entertainment aspect,”
he explained.
