Jade Cargill: WWE Star Champions Representation Ahead of Atlanta Show

WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill will headline the upcoming WWE event at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on February 23. Known for her powerful presence, Cargill spoke with CBS News Atlanta about her journey in WWE and the crucial role representation plays in her career.

From Psychology to Professional Wrestling

Before stepping into the wrestling world, Cargill’s path was far from athletics. She shared that after college, she initially planned to pursue psychology rather than sports entertainment.

Oh man… I didn’t expect to have a career in athletics after college,

Cargill said.

I thought, you know what? I’m going to pursue psychology.

Her passion for psychology was influenced by an early mentor who worked as a child psychologist, inspiring her to support young children.

I had an amazing tutor growing up who was actually a child psychologist, and he inspired me to work with little kids,

she explained.

Balancing Family Life and Wrestling Stardom

Currently, Cargill manages a multifaceted life as a mother, wife, professional sports team owner, and one of WWE’s leading figures. She recognizes the responsibility her visibility brings, especially for young fans seeking role models.

You’ve never seen three powerful, Black, unapologetic women gracing the stage,

Cargill noted, referring to her recent storyline alongside Bianca Belair and Naomi.

It means everything, because you want little girls to look up and say, ‘I can do that.’

The Influence of Visibility and Advice to Young Fans

Aware of the impact of being on an international platform, Cargill encourages girls to persevere and trust their journey in life and careers.

Trust the process. It all works out,

she advised.

What’s for you will always be for you.

Anticipation Builds for WWE’s Return to Atlanta

As WWE prepares to return to State Farm Arena this February, Jade Cargill’s presence is expected to inspire both longtime wrestling fans and new audiences. Her story of transition from psychology to wrestling and her commitment to representation highlight the evolving landscape of WWE and its growing influence beyond the ring.
