Jade Cargill Breaks Silence After Heartbreaking WWE SummerSlam Loss to Tiffany Stratton

Published:

Jade Cargill addressed her recent WWE SummerSlam loss to Tiffany Stratton, which occurred on the first night of the event in New Jersey. The defeat prevented Cargill from capturing the WWE Women’s Championship, marking a significant moment in her WWE career.

After securing the title shot by winning the Queen of the Ring Tournament, where she overcame Asuka in the final, Cargill was poised to end Stratton’s reign. Despite a strong performance, she was unable to claim her first singles championship in WWE.

During the match, Cargill seemed to have victory within reach after delivering her finishing move, Jaded. However, she pushed too far for the pinfall, which allowed Stratton to avoid the three count as her shoulders lifted and her legs reached the ropes. Stratton then capitalized on a failed Avalanche Jaded attempt, using her signature Prettiest Moonsault Ever to retain the title and extend her championship reign.

Following the bout, Cargill took to social media to comment on the result and break her silence, demonstrating sportsmanship despite the setback. She now finds herself back at the starting point of her WWE journey, with potential storylines involving Bianca Belair and possibly targeting Giulia and the Women’s United States Championship in the near future.

Tiffany Stratton Shares Her Thoughts on Retaining the Title

Tiffany Stratton spoke candidly with Jackie Redmond after successfully defending her WWE Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill at SummerSlam. Stratton admitted that nerves were a factor heading into her first-ever SummerSlam main event.

“Like I said earlier, Jackie, I was so nervous walking into this [title match] tonight. It’s my first-ever SummerSlam, and Jade is undeniable, but so am I. And now I have been champ for over 200 days, and I’m the current longest WWE champion. And The Storm came and I stood strong and it’s still Tiffy Time,” Stratton said. [34:29 – 34:53]

Her victory extends her record as the longest reigning WWE Women’s Champion, now exceeding 200 days. Stratton’s confident remarks highlight her steady hold on the title amid high-profile challenges.

Meanwhile, Chelsea Green has hinted at pursuing Stratton’s championship, though she may need additional victories to earn a future title match.
