Since leaving WWE in August 2025, Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux have been carving out a distinct presence in the wrestling world, embracing the independent circuit without bitterness. Kross clarified in a recent TV Insider interview that neither he nor Scarlett harbor resentment about their current circumstances, focusing instead on making the most of the opportunities before them and feeling genuinely thankful for their position.
Gaining Experience and Exposure Outside Corporate Wrestling
Kross highlighted that working independently has allowed both him and Scarlett to learn valuable lessons unavailable within a major wrestling company. They have traveled through various markets, connected directly with diverse fans, and managed many aspects of their careers themselves, gaining insights into wrestling and entertainment that he believes would have been impossible to acquire inside WWE’s corporate structure.
Dispelling Myths About Waning Popularity
Addressing assumptions that their profiles might have diminished without weekly national TV appearances, Kross explained that visibility today depends heavily on social media algorithms and television platforms. Nevertheless, he emphasized that their actual engagement tells a different story: every weekend, they perform in multiple key cities at independent wrestling shows, conventions, and comic cons, consistently drawing thousands of fans. He sees their fanbase growing rather than shrinking.
Reviving a Fierce Persona and Exploring New Ventures
Since his WWE departure, Kross has re-embraced his darker, more aggressive “Killer Kross” character on the independent stage. Beyond wrestling, he has also ventured into filmmaking, with his short film Blue Evening earning several nominations at the Burbank International Film Festival. This expansion reflects his broader ambitions outside the squared circle.
Building a Lasting Brand on Their Own Terms
For Kross and Scarlett, the current phase centers less on pursuing a single platform and more on developing a comprehensive brand propelled by their own choices. From Kross’s perspective, their business is not waning but flourishing steadily, demonstrating resilience and growth as they chart an independent course.
