WWE has adjusted its roster by moving Karrion Kross and Scarlett to the alumni section on its official website, signaling that their contracts have expired. This change follows the removal of Kross’s entrance theme, known as The Doom Walker, from WWE’s Spotify channel. Their recent exit marks the conclusion of their second WWE stint, which began in August 2022.
In addition to Kross and Scarlett, Ashante “Thee” Adonis has also been shifted to the WWE alumni roster. Adonis previously appeared on NXT from 2019 to 2021 as part of the Hit Row stable before his initial release. Although his tag partner A.J. Francis, better known as Top Dolla, departed earlier, Adonis remained with WWE until now.
Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis Reflects on WWE Departure as Fans React
Following the expiration of his WWE contract, Ashante “Thee” Adonis took to X (formerly Twitter) to express appreciation for his six years within the wrestling organization, stating that it was time to “close that chapter.” Referee Jessica Carr also shared her congratulations and best wishes to the 32-year-old on the platform.
Among the original members of Hit Row, only B-Fab currently remains signed to WWE, actively performing on the SmackDown brand alongside the Street Profits.
Prospects and Fan Reactions Regarding Ashante Adonis’s Future
Speculation surrounds further WWE layoffs as the company continues adjusting its roster. Some observers suggest that Adonis’s skills could be a good fit for promotions like TNA or AEW. Notably, Adonis made his debut in TNA earlier this year due to the collaboration between WWE and the Nashville-based wrestling company. Given his contract status, fans are watching to see if he will pursue this avenue further.
The possibility of reuniting with A.J. Francis in TNA has also been discussed among fans. While some followers respond enthusiastically to Adonis’s potential, others feel he has yet to fully demonstrate his capabilities. Meanwhile, his former tag team partner Francis has thrived, securing titles such as the TNA Digital Media Championship and the Canadian International Heavyweight Championship—accolades he never attained during his WWE tenure.
It remains to be seen whether Ashante “Thee” Adonis will find greater success outside WWE, as his journey in professional wrestling enters a new phase beyond the Stamford-based company.
